In March of 2013, the Texas Care Alliance (TCA) was created as a “central organization” designed to build expertise in population health management, capitalize on economies of scale, and accelerate the rapid adoption of clinical and operational best practices. In doing so, the members of TCA seek to improve and integrate the key pieces of the healthcare value chain through a shared commitment to adopt common metrics, measure performance, and share clinical and administrative best practices. By sharing knowledge, we can improve quality, reduce costs, and create a future where clinicians, hospitals, and health systems work together to provide the best experience for the patients and communities we serve.
